0.35 T Clinical MRI scanner by Time Medical (China)

Sphere on Spiral Stairs

We received 0.35 T clinical MRI scanner from Time Medical (China), thanks to the funding support by DOD. This permanent magnet MRI scanner will enable a wide range of imaging scans of our contrast agents currently under development. The scanner feature integrated proton and 129Xe detection, and we hope to expand the detection to wide range of other nuclei including hyperpolarized 13C and 15N. Besides imaging, this magnet will provide highly homogeneous magnetic field for a wide range of cool physical chemistry experiments. The photo on the left (January 2020) shows the delivery of the magnet to I2C building on Wayne State campus.
